To become a certified Texas Master Naturalist in the Gulf Coast Chapter, trainees attend 56 hours of classes and field trips, complete minimum 40 hours of volunteer service, and receive minimum 8 hours of advanced training in approved classes. To maintain active status in the Gulf Coast Chapter, a Texas Master Naturalist completes 40 hours minimum of volunteer service and 8 hours minimum of advanced training, annually.
